Getting Started
Quick Start Guide
Get HABICUB running in about five minutes — organization, team, program template, participants, launch.
This is the shortest path from an empty organization to a live program. It takes about five minutes of setup, and nothing here is permanent — every setting below can be changed after launch.
If you are setting up for a large or multi-region organization, read Setting Up Your Organization first. It covers the structural decisions that are awkward to change once people are in the system.
Before you start
You need one thing: an administrator account. Everything else is created as you go.
It helps to have decided who the first cohort is — a specific team of ten to thirty people, rather than “the managers”. A narrow first cohort gives you a clean adoption signal within weeks. A broad one gives you an average that tells you nothing.
What you are building
HABICUB delivers development as a dated sequence of small actions rather than a course. The structure is the same at every scale:
- A Development Plan holds one to three competencies for one person.
- Each competency contributes Development Goals, and each goal its Development Tasks.
- The plan compiles into a Development Journey: fifteen MDAs — Micro Development Actions — each on its own date.
- A mentor reviews what comes back and replies.
The five steps below create exactly that.
After the first week
Do not judge the program on completion. Look at the two numbers that actually move:
- Answered vs received — are people engaging at all?
- The gap between them — where in the sequence do people start dropping?
Driving Engagement at Scale covers what to do about each.
- 1
Create your organization
Set the organization name, time zone and working calendar. The calendar decides which days an MDA can land on, so getting it right now saves rescheduling later.
- 2
Invite your team
Add the people who will run the program — administrators, program managers and mentors. Participants come later, in bulk.
- 3
Choose a program template
Start from a published template or bring your own methodology and map it onto the Development Plan structure. The template sets which competencies are in scope.
- 4
Add your participants
Import participants from a CSV or sync them from your HR system, then assign them to the program. Each person gets their own Personal Development Plan.
- 5
Activate and watch adoption
Activating compiles each plan into a dated sequence and starts delivery. From day one the dashboard shows received, opened, answered and assessed.
